The end of the fasting month was at the end of August, but I'm just now getting around to putting pictures up of some new friends we met. This is a family Joseph met while surveying River City last year. Once we moved here, Jos wanted to make sure we headed back and Idul Fitri (the end of the fasting month celebrations) was a perfect opportunity. The family was very inviting and we discovered that they are ancestors of the royal family from a LONG time ago. They're very proud of that fact and have a genealogy map hanging in their living room. Our family became instant celebrities and camera phones came out of no where, but here's a few of the highlights!

have a royal family (like a chief) that ruled the area.
