Dogs, Cats & Bandages
Anna’s had a big week this week. First of all she got to talk to her grandparents WHILE seeing them! We often use Skype to talk with family
and friends back home (God bless Skype!), and with our dial up connection we are able to receive video but not send it. Be that as it may, Joseph’s parents recently made the best of it and set up their video camera to allow Anna to watch her grandparents while we all talked. Anna’s getting pretty excited about a few things recently, (1) Dogs & Cats (2) Praise Baby videos that show dogs and cats (3) Any books that have dogs and cats in them (4) seeing any dogs and cats outside, and (5) hearing any dogs and cats barks or meows outside. Are you seeing a pattern developing here? Anyway, she ‘read’ to hear grandparents on the phone the other day. We have a great little Children’s Bible whose brilliant artist thought to insert all kinds of animals in famous Bible Stories (did anyone know that Abraham’s family had a trusty ol’ dog that follows them around?!). Anna loves it, and as we turned the pages, she excitedly pointed out all the dogs and cats to Mimi and PaMike. As we ended the conversation, she "kissed bye" to her grandparents thousands of miles away and saw them do the same to her!

ying out her hand at running, and the road won yesterday. She let the road have it with her crying – as well as the whole neighborhood! She even got to stay up pretty late last night as she couldn’t get comfortable with her bandages and watched "Prince of Egypt" with mommy who kept comforting her occasional moans. Got to love the toddler stage!

Be sure and tell Anna that Bob and Dallas would love to hang out with her when she comes for a visit.
Love you guys. We're back and will be sure and post pictures when scatterbrained Sarah can find the camera/computer cord thingy. Love ya'll!
Anna Grace, we are so sorry you hurt your knees. Ouch -it makes us hurt when you hurt. When you come see us, we'll hold you and watch movies as long as you want to. Love you bunches, Mimi and Pa Mike
Poor Anna! Hopefully your daddy didn't say what Papa used to say to me. ("Suck it up.") You aunt Lana has a million scars from all of her scrapes and falls. Someday you'll be proud of them cause it means your a tough cookie and you can play just as hard as the boys.
Love you tantrum pic. You resemble your cousin Caleb when he used to get upset and crumble to the floor too. Must run in the family. :) Can't wait to see you in a few months.
Linds,
Morning.
watching Anna w/ Skype reminded me of when we were kids and we would go to Epcot and see that thing in Spaceship Earth - you know where one girl was in the states and one was in China and then a set of grandparents were wishing their grandchild happy birthday from afar. And they could see each other on a screen. Remember how foreign and "space-age" that was?!!! I guess Epcot knew what they were talking about, huh.
Just having a "missing the Masons" moment and wanted to say hi!
I am also having a missing the Masons moment. Seth and I have been practicing our Yahtzee skils, so Masons and Harrimans, watch out. Come October, I'll be as big as a house, but at least I might have a hand at the game. I try to face South West like Lindsey used to.
I've never seen a dead ferret before. Nice! Oh, and aren't you glad that the Lord thought to make kids of rubber? Anna is gorgeous! And Lindsey, man o man, you are a knock out. We love you.
Hey Sweet Mason Family! Scott and I were super excited to find your blog and see your day to day experiences. I loved the picture of little Anna Grace blowing a kiss to the grands. Precious. We keep you all in our thoughts and send our love.
We won the classic wooden edition of Yahtzee in a Dirty Santa game this year. We'll be happy to bring it for the Yahtzee cause especially if there are the usual refreshments involved. Man, I'd love a cookie right now!
Nathan and I will be hoping that our "beginner's" or "rusty player's" luck works that night.
rusty players luck? what? come on now! i know everybody expects old nate to be bringing up the rear in this much anticipated yahtzee battle, but the game ain't over til you know who starts to singing. hold on folks! ought to be a wild one (no matter what direction your facing)!
